Harbor Shores Golf Course
The Harbor Shores Golf Course at Harbor Shores Resort is a premier destination for golfers throughout the Midwest. This championship, 18-hole golf course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design and since 2012 has been the biennial host of the KitchenAid® Senior PGA Championship held at the end of May. It is the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course along Lake Michigan and is first in its class in Southwest Michigan.
The course challenges players of every skill level while providing spectacular views over its four diverse terrains. There are three dramatic holes with sweeping vistas of Lake Michigan from the white sand dunes; nine holes bordering the beautiful banks of the Paw Paw River, Ox Creek and its wetlands; and six holes with rolling hills and ravines. The golf experience exceeds the expectations of even the most discerning players.
The clubhouse campus enhances your time at Harbor Shores. The Grille and Greenside Bar present simplistic fare, done exceptionally well, and an extensive selection of spirits, wines and local craft beers. Share your golf stories on the patio, host meetings and events in the private meeting room or event pavilion and see real improvements in your game after personalized lessons at the course’s training academy. The professional staff is ready to help make your personal golfing experience or planning a golf outing memorable in the spring, summer and fall.
Harbor Shores Resort’s Inn at Harbor Shores and Plank’s Tavern on the Water offer overnight stays and will cater for your charity events, weddings, rehearsal dinners, celebrations and business meetings.
A strong connection to Southwest Michigan art and local communities
Each of Harbor Shores Golf Course’s 18 holes has the name of an indigenous plant of the area. At each hole, a metal sculpture with at least one piece of locally hand-blown glass holds a plaque describing one of Jack Nicklaus’ major championships. This tee box project was a partnership between the golf course and the nearby Benton Harbor Arts District.
The course is also a proud supporter of First Tee-Benton Harbor, a junior golf program that helps area youth develop strong character as they learn the game.
