Absurdists at heart, Stranger Wine Company was born out of a desire for Husband and Wife team, Maxx and Sidney, to find meaning in an otherwise meaningless world. Between Maxx’s deep love for wine and Sidney’s love for agriculture it became obvious to them that pursuing a life surrounding these passions was their version of creating a meaningful life for themselves. The dream to grow and make their own wines took them in many directions, but eventually led to the inception of Stranger Wine Company in 2021.

The taproom has 12 beers and 6 ciders on tap along with seasonal cocktails. Customers can sample flights of beers, ciders, and spirits. Sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, appetizers, and desserts made of locally sourced ingredients round out the ever changing food menu. Family owned since 1929. We offer tree ripened hand-picked fruits to buy at the farm. The fruit is sustainably grown using many integrated management and organic growing techniques. Our winery currently makes 10 fruit wines, two grape wines, one ice cider, six hard ciders and four meads (honey wines); all of the fruits used in the winemaking were estate grown. We sell frozen apple cider year round and fresh apple cider in the fall. We also carry 40 different value added products, all made at the farm, including nut butters, original trail mixes, vinegars, jams, chutneys and relishes.
