Harbor Shores Nature & Fitness Trail System
Get waterfront views and even see some wildlife along the 12 miles that make up the free Harbor Shores Nature & Fitness Trail System in Benton Harbor. These paved hiking and biking trails take you through the Harbor Shores Golf Course, along the Paw Paw River, Ox Creek and the St. Joseph River, across wetlands and up the dunes for a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan. Be mindful of the golfers you may pass along the way in spring through fall, and keep noises to a minimum while they are playing. If you hope to spot wildlife along the trails, the best times are in the early morning and evening.

When you visit, dress for that day's weather, wearing comfortable shoes or hiking boots. You can also ride your bike, fish from a small dock, launch your kayak or SUP, or, in winter, strap on your snowshoes. These trails are also stroller and ADA-accessible, so everyone can breathe the fresh air and take in the beautiful scenery.
