Learn about Dowagiac’s history from exhibits with displays on Native American history, early settlement, agriculture, industry, transportation, and local military history. One of the most popular exhibits is the "Main Street" exhibit, which recreates a small town Main Street from the early 1900s, complete with storefronts and period artifacts. In addition to its exhibits, the Dowagiac Area History Museum also hosts a variety of lectures, family friendly events, and workshops throughout the year.
