Join a water science adventure on Tall Ship MJ!
For our inaugural run, we're offering two exciting four-hour cruises aboard the majestic Tall Ship MJ, departing at 9:00 AM on July 15th and 22nd. The ship sets sail from the Harbor Shores Hotel dock.
Get ready for an unforgettable blend of adventure and science!
This unique program lets participants of all ages explore the watery world around us using modern and old-fashioned tools. You'll get hands-on with science experiments, collect water samples, and even peer through a microscope to compare the ecology and water chemistry of Lake Michigan and the St. Joseph River.
But the fun doesn't stop there! While onboard, you'll also learn about the fascinating history of scientific expeditions by ship and get a chance to try your hand at traditional navigation techniques, depth sounding, and bottom sampling – using the very tools that seafarers relied on for centuries!
Captain Megan of the Tall Ship MJ will be at the helm, ensuring a safe and unforgettable journey.
