Turtle Creek Preserve

This 12-acre nature preserve features a mature beech-maple forest, seasonal wetlands, and Turtle Creek, which runs along the property’s northern edge before connecting with Lighthouse Creek, a direct tributary of Lake Michigan. The preserve is also part of the Lake Michigan coastal flyway, an important migration corridor for songbirds traveling along the lakeshore. Its forests, wetlands, and waterways provide valuable places for migrating birds to rest and feed during their spring and fall journeys.
