The Mitten Children's Museum
This children’s museum echoes the belief of educators worldwide that play and curiosity are essential to the healthy development of a child. Of the 350 children's museums established worldwide, the majority of them are located in urban areas. However, The Mitten strongly believes that our rural and low-income families deserve the same access and opportunity to explore. All types of informal learning occur when your kiddos step through these doors.
Because children, like adults, have different ways of acquiring knowledge, they provide culturally rich programs to increase the chance of school success and positive family experiences. The exhibits encourage choices, problem-solving, and discovery. This play-based destination makes learning more than education — it’s fun and entertaining here!
