Flynn Woods Preserve

This 35-acre preserve features a diverse mix of oak-hickory forest, forested wetlands, and waterways that provide habitat for an impressive variety of plants and wildlife. The John Morley Drain flows through the property and connects to Cherry Creek, a direct tributary of Lake Michigan. More than 340 plant species have been documented here, including several rare and state-protected species. A network of trails provides opportunities to explore the preserve, while amenities include a picnic shelter, potable water station, bicycle repair station, parking area, and portable toilets. Together with the neighboring Robinson Woods Preserve, the property forms a 115-acre protected natural area.
