Weko Beach & Campground is a wonderful place to experience the great outdoors, meet new people, relax and enjoy the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. Here’s what you need to know to plan your visit!
What to do
Nestled among 42 acres of picturesque, wooded dunes, Weko Beach offers guests a modern beach house, small craft boat launch, concessions and clean restrooms. Visitors can rent kayaks and stand-up paddleboards to experience the beauty of the 960-foot shoreline from the waters of Lake Michigan. A rambling boardwalk and two observation decks afford panoramic views of the lake and wooded dunes. The playing of Taps at Weko Beach by a live bugle has been a tradition for nearly 50 years and is played at sunset every night from Memorial Day to Labor Day. For music lovers, free concerts are held throughout the summer.
Hours and admission fees
From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, it is $15 per vehicle to park. You will need to pay at the parking kiosk, which only takes cards.
The park is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Parking fees must be paid from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. unless it is a Sunday night concert, then fees stop at 6:30 p.m.
