Twin City Players announces the 5th production of its 2024-2025 92nd Mainstage Season, Sense & Sensibility, a lively comedic adaptation by Kate Hamill, based on the novel by Jane Austen. Opening night features complimentary wine from St. Joe Wine Shoppe.
Full of humor and emotional depth, a fresh adaptation of Austen's beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters—sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne—after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and with reputations at stake. Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality. Together, the women must learn to mix sense with sensibility to find happiness in a society where money rules love.
