Watch live artists turn Broad Street into an amazing gallery
The first weekend in August is incredibly creative in St. Joseph. On Friday evening, amateur and professional chalk artists prepare their squares on the asphalt. Then on Saturday, see them sketch and chalk colorful abstract designs, realistic portraits and animals that look like they could jump up and sprint down the pavement. On Sunday, stroll Broad Street and pick your favorite masterpiece from the regional, national and international artists’ work. It’s not easy!
Vote for the People’s Choice Winner
Go to the People’s Choice Award Tent in the parking lot across from Wanderlust Outfitters on Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Buy tickets for $1 each; one ticket equals one vote. Designate your tickets for your favorite artwork. The more tickets it gets, the greater the chance it will win.
See the art before it disappears!
As beautiful as it is, chalk art isn’t created to stay. So, see the art while you can.
