Lake Michigan College’s Wine and Viticulture Technology Program, in collaboration with the Midwest Wine Center, is offering the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines, an internationally recognized introductory wine certification.
This fun and engaging course teaches students to understand wine through sight, smell, and taste, covering major wine styles, grape varieties, and food pairings.
The two-day course runs March 29-30 at Lake Michigan College and includes guided instruction, tastings, and a structured approach to wine appreciation.
At the end of the course, students will take the WSET Level 1 Exam, a multiple-choice test leading to certification upon passing.
