Three Oaks, Michigan is gearing up for a magical holiday celebration, PrancerPalooza, to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the 1989 film, "Prancer." This beloved film, which was largely shot in the quaint village, has left a lasting impression on the community.

The festivities will kick off on December 14th in Three Oaks with a parade, movie screenings, and holiday treats offered by local businesses. Visitors can also snap a photo with a life-sized stuffed reindeer.

Director John Hancock, who chose Three Oaks and La Porte as the perfect backdrop for the film, will be in attendance. He credits the supportive community and picturesque scenery for the film's success. The event will also honor local residents who appeared in the film, with a Walk of Fame recognizing their contributions.

"Prancer" stars Sam Elliott and Rebecca Harrell are expected to attend PrancerPalooza, even participating in the parade. Additionally, the Region of Three Oaks Museum will showcase a miniature replica of Three Oaks used in the film's final shot.

As the holiday season approaches, Three Oaks invites everyone to join in the festivities and celebrate the enduring legacy of "Prancer."
