The last few weeks of winter can spike kids’ boredom meter. Southwest Michigan easily swings the needle back to “Wow, this is so much fun!” during those “There’s nothing to do” or too much screen time days. Here are boredom-busting ideas for the toddlers to teens in your life.

We like to think of this as Best Friends Month in Southwest Michigan. Spending time with that special someone that loves you for being you and you love them back. Since Valentine’s falls mid-February, we thought we’d share some local ideas to warm every best friend’s heart on or around that day.

Southwest Michigan luckily offers four great seasons. One is happening now and way too many people miss out on winter’s majestic, quiet, yet fun-filled beauty. So we asked several locals to share 10 reasons you should get off your couch this winter. Here’s what they suggest:
