Buchanan District Library Mural
The Buchanan District Library Mural is a vibrant and eye-catching piece of public art located in the heart of Buchanan, Michigan.
Created by local artist Alex Ann Allen, the mural features colorful portraits of Buchanan children, celebrating the community and its young residents. The artwork is displayed on the Days Avenue side of the library building, adding a splash of color and creativity to the downtown area.
The project was a collaborative effort between LiveBuchanan, the Buchanan District Library, and the Roti Roti Art Center, and it was made possible by grants from the Michigan Gateway Community Foundation and the Berrien Community Foundation. The mural is designed to be interchangeable, allowing for new artwork to be displayed each year, ensuring a constantly evolving and dynamic visual experience for the community.
