Event Description:The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra presents Sips & Sounds. SATURDAY, AUGUST 12, 2017 - MUSIC FROM THE MADHATTERS & THE SMSO WITH BRASS TRANSIT, THE MUSICAL LEGACY OF CHICAGO ARTIST BIOS The Madhatters began in 1997 as the first a cappella group on the University of Wisconsin campus. The musical prowess of the Madhatters has taken them to sometimes unbelievable heights and they have performed at places that no irresponsible college student belongs. Their concerts are lively events featuring songs from past and present, from the Spaniels and Foreigner to Justin Bieber and The Chainsmokers. Brass Transit has been performing as the world’s premier interpreters of the music of Chicago since 2008 and go far beyond just imitating the songs; they embody the music. Add the SMSO, and the result is a fresh approach to some of the greatest hits of the era. Brass Transit will take you back to the most memorable times of your life!
