Event Description:Retired NASA Astronaut Scott Kelly recently completed his record-breaking year in space. While on the International Space Station, he became a celebrity, captivating the world with his live interviews and never-before- seen photos from space. It earned him a cover on Time, interviews on NBC’s “Today” and features in Forbes and on CNN. By the time he returned to Earth, his Twitter following exceeded one million. Come hear more about this incredible adventure when he shares with you, “The Sky Is Not the Limit: Lessons from a Year in Space.” To attend, you can purchase single meeting tickets in one of two venues at The Mendel Center, Lake Michigan College. In Upton Hall you will see Kelly in person and have an opportunity to ask him your questions. Choose between a Dinner Ticket which includes a sit-down full meal or a Speaker-Only ticket which does not include a meal, but offers theater-style seating. Both seating arrangements are equally near the podium. A cash bar is available to all ticket holders during a social time held prior to the talk. The second venue is in the Mainstage Theater, where you will enjoy complimentary light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar during a social hour. The speaker will then come in person to the theater to answer your questions during a 20-minute Q&A. Next, you will watch a live broadcast of the speech held in Upton Hall on a large screen in Mainstage. Both venues are excellent opportunities to network with area thought leaders as well as gain deeper insights about current issues from this nationally-renowned guest.
