Event Date:07/13/2017

Event Description:This lighthearted, heavily illustrated presentation and discussion examines fantastic claims about the distant past from right here in the Midwest—including Michigan—where we are no strangers to tales of crop circles, ancient alien interventions, bigfoot and other cryptozoids, Atlantis, and assorted transoceanic explorations by foreigners who visited well before Columbus. Paw Paw Days Classic Car & Truck Show

Tapper Ford side parking lot
S Kalamazoo & Industrial Ave
Paw Paw, MI 49079
Contact Name: Paw PawArea Chamber of Commerce
269-657-5395

Opening Date:7/21/2017

Closing Date:07/22/2017

Event Description:The little car show idea the Chamber initiated 20 years ago has come of age and become a classic in its own right!! With your support we can make Paw Paw Days one of the community's main events of the year, and continue to offer activities and programs that spotlight our local businesses. The Paw Paw Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to Paw Paw Days, a weekend of pure family fun, celebrating our 21st annual Classic Car and Truck Show. In the tradition of our original Paw Paw Days, downtown Paw Paw merchants will bring back sidewalk sales, selling their wares inside and out, Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22. Friday evening, classic car owners will come together for the Carol Motycka Memorial Classic Car Cruise. Participants should meet at 6pm, The Park and Ride, south of I-94, to begin the caravan through downtown and on out into the surrounding countryside. The route ends back in town at Red's Root Beer for eats and treats. Bright and early Saturday, July 22, The Chamber is teaming up with long-time sponsor Tapper Automotive to present the 2017 Classic Car & Truck Show with a portion of their lot and all their green space behind Tapper Ford, located in the area of Industrial Ave and Gremps St. This move is necessary to allow the timely completion of the Village's water and sewer system upgrades. We plan to keep as much of our traditional event lined up as we can in the alternate location; but have lots of new ideas too. Paw Paw Brewery, St Julian, and Warner Wineries have already offered to partner and assist us with Paw Paw Days! We are just getting started. This event brings thousands of visitors to Paw Paw each summer and has been referred to as one of the best vintage vehicle venues in Southwest Michigan. Sponsored by John Tapper, Inc. Chevy-Buick-GMC, and Tapper Ford, LLC, organizers expect over 200 classic cars and trucks to be on display. Registration that day begins at 8 a.m., the show opens at 9. Call Brenda today to see how you can be a part of this 21-year-old spotlight on Paw Paw! Dash plaques, gift bags, and door prizes will be given to the car show entrants and up to 60 trophies will be awarded throughout the day, ending with Best of Show and class trophy presentations at 3 p.m. A special Jan Hoehn Memorial award will honor an original member of the Chamber of Commerce and founder of the classic car show. Hoehn died of cancer last fall after more than 30 years of dedicated service to her community. The Masonic Lodge will host a breakfast Saturday morning from 8 to11 a.m. Beginning at 9 a.m., area vendors, artists, and crafters will fill the grass area behind Tapper Ford off of Industial and Grempsk with booths and carts of goodies. Food vendors will provide on-the-spot yummies, while some local restaurants will offer Paw Paw Days specials. KidsZone, sponsored Freshwater Community Church, will be set up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. offering games, water play, and other activities for our younger Paw Paw Days guests. Miss Paw Paw and her court will be selling 50/25/25 raffle tickets for a drawing at 3 p.m. For more information, or to enter your car, reserve your booth in our “Marketplace,” or sign up for the call Brenda Tortorelli at the Paw Paw Area Chamber of Commerce, (269) 657-5395; or e-mail her at: info@pawpawchamber.com. Sara Evans Live at Silver Creek Event Center

Four Winds Casino
11111 Wilson Rd
NEW BUFFALO, MI 49117
Contact Name: Four Winds Casino
8664946371 Fax: 8664946371

Event Date:07/29/2017

Event Description:Over the years, Sara Evans has developed a reputation for delivering thoroughly satisfying albums full of great songs brought to life by her distinctive voice. She has that heart-in-the-throat quality that turned Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn into legends coupled with an edgy contemporary sensibility that keeps her at the vanguard of today's successful country performers. She's sold nearly six million records and her last four albums have been certified Gold, Platinum or multi-Platinum. She's scored five No. 1 hits, among them "Suds in the Bucket," "A Real Fine Place to Start," "No Place That Far" and "A Little Bit Stronger," the title track of her chart-topping 2011 album Stronger. The single was No. 1 for two weeks and was certified platinum by the R.I.A.A. Evans has amassed an impressive collection of awards, including female vocalist from the Academy of Country Music and video of the year from the Country Music Association for her ground-breaking clip "Born to Fly." She grew up singing in her family's band and then moved to Nashville looking for a record deal. Legendary songwriter Harlan Howard heard her on a demo and helped open a door for her at RCA Records where she's been ever since. In addition to her music, Evans is an accomplished author of three books with co-writer Rachel Hauck and writes a lifestyle blog, "A Real Fine Place," with her sister-in-law Kaelin "K.K" Evans where they share their passion for fashion, beauty, travel and food. She was the first country artist to compete on ABC's popular "Dancing with the Stars" and she's been named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People." A tireless philanthropist, Evans is involved in several charitable endeavors and has been awarded the Crystal Cross by the American Red Cross. Last year, she and her husband Jay Barker launched Rock the South. The festival attracted 50,000 country music fans and raised money for the Children's Hospital of Birmingham and Alabama Forever, a charity formed to help rebuild the areas in Alabama that were struck by devastating tornados. Evans is currently on tour following the release of her seventh album, Slow Me Down.

Kenny Loggins Live at Silver Creek Event Center

Four Winds Casino
11111 Wilson
New Buffalo, MI 49117
Contact Name: Four Winds Casino
8664946371

Event Date:8/4/2017

Event Description:Kenny Loggins' remarkable four-decade-plus career has brought him from the top of the charts to the toast of the Grammys. He's had smash hits on Hollywood's favorite soundtracks, rocked worldwide stages, and found his way into children's hearts while bringing his smooth, beautiful voice to platinum albums of a stunning variety of genres. His gift for crafting deeply emotional music is unparalleled, and it's been a part of his life as long as he can remember. Loggins moved to the Los Angeles area as a young child, and began singing and playing guitar in high school, scored a job as a songwriter for ABC/Wingate out of college. One of the first tunes he wrote was the beloved "House at Pooh Corner," which became one of several Loggins-penned hits recorded by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Though he has 12 platinum albums, a pair of Grammys, and hits on almost all the Billboard charts under his belt, Loggins is far from done. Having just released his latest children's project, the book Footloose (Moondance Press, an imprint of Quarto Publishing Group USA, October 17, 2016), he's still looking forward to what's next.

Theresa Caputo Live at Silver Creek Event Center

Four Winds Casino
11111 Wilson Rd
NEW BUFFALO, MI 49117
Contact Name: Four Winds Casino
8664946371

Event Date:09/02/2017

Event Description:Theresa Caputo is from TLC's hit show, Long Island Medium, which follows Theresa's life as a typical Long Island wife and mom with one very big difference...she can communicate with the dead. Since she cannot "turn off" this gift, messages from departed loved ones can come through at any time, which leads to spontaneous readings with those she encounters. During her appearance at Four Winds New Buffalo, Theresa will share personal stories about her life and explain how her gift works. She will deliver healing messages to audience members and give people comfort knowing their loved ones who passed are still with them, just in a different way. "The Experience" brings Theresa face-to-face with her fans, as she lets the spirit guide her through the audience. A video display ensures everyone in the venue has an up-close-hands-on experience regardless of seat location. "The experience isn't about believing in mediums. It's about witnessing something life-changing," Theresa says. "It's like Long Island Medium live, witnessing first-hand spirit communication."

Huey Lewis & The News Extravaganza Live at Silver Creek Event Center

Four Winds Casino
11111 Wilson
New Buffalo, MI 49117
Contact Name: Four Winds Casino
8664946371

Event Date:09/08/2017

Event Description:Huey Lewis & The News is truly one of America's great rock & roll bands. As they enter their 38th year together, the band's contagious brand of music is as fresh today as ever. Formed from two rival Bay Area bands in 1979, they continue to thrill audiences worldwide, selling over 20 million albums in the process. Huey Lewis & The News have written and performed such classic Top Ten Hits as "Heart of Rock & Roll", "Stuck With You", "I Want A New Drug", "If This Is It", "Hip To Be Square", "Do You Believe In Love" and "Workin' For A Livin". The group also wrote and performed "The Power of Love" and "Back in Time" for the hit film Back to The Future. There is something special about a Huey Lewis & The News live show. They incorporate a variety of musical influences including R&B and soul to create their own unique sound. Front man Huey Lewis' unmistakable voice has a rich, textured quality that lends itself well to not just their hits, but also to the variety of other songs featured in the show. Lewis also brings some bluesy tones to the performance when he breaks out into his harmonica solos. One of the highlights of the show is an a cappella rendition of early rock & roll classics such as "It's Alright", "Little Bitty Pretty One" and "Sixty Minute Man". Huey Lewis & The News are: Huey Lewis (vocals and harmonica), Johnny Colla (saxophone, guitar and vocals), Bill Gibson (drums, percussion and vocals), Sean Hopper (keyboards and vocals), Stef Burns (guitars and vocals) and John Pierce (bass). The live show features their long-time horn section of San Francisco Bay Area luminaries: Rob Sudduth (tenor saxophone), Marvin McFadden (trumpet), and Johnnie Bamont (baritone saxophone).

Four Winds Casino

8664946371

Event Date:09/22/2017

Event Description:ZZ Top a/k/a "That Little Ol' Band From Texas," lays claim to being the longest running major rock band with original personnel intact. In 2004, the trio was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard have been together for more than 45 years on the road and in the studio. Their third album, 1973's Tres Hombres, catapulted them to national attention with the hit "La Grange," still one of the band's signature pieces today. Their next hit was "Tush," released in 1975. Billy, Dusty and Frank became icons in videos that highlighted three smash singles: "Gimme All Your Lovin', "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Legs." As a touring unit, they've been without peer over the years, having performed before millions of fans through North America on numerous epochal tours as well as overseas. Their iconography – beards, cars, girls and that magic keychain – transcend all bounds of geography and language. Last year saw the release of ZZ Top's Live! Greatest Hits From Around The World album, consisting of 15 songs recorded live in 13 cities across three continents. ZZ Top's music is always instantly recognizable, eminently powerful, profoundly soulful and 100% Texas American in derivation.
